Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge

The lodge is located at quite a high altitude (over 2000m above sea level) making it one of the of Uganda’s highest lodges. Guests are accommodated in five (5) double cottages and two (2) family cottages.

The guest lodging units are built from locally sourced materials including volcanic stone and straw for the roofing.

The rooms have items which are artistically made by local craftsmen including the hand woven floorings, the double-faced fireplace and the cushioned furniture.

Also throughout the lodge, the walls are decorated with pieces that were done by some of Uganda’s best artists. Maximum capacity of the lodge is eighteen (18) occupants in seven (7) rooms.

Rates in US$ (2016) Per Person Per Night

(The rates are Full Board and they include additional services like laundry and dry-cleaning; and all non-premium drinks).

Nkuringo Gorilla Camp

Nkuringo Gorilla Camp is located high in the mountains at a height of 2,161m above sea level on the Nteko ridge. Lodging is provided in four (4) beautiful en-suite cottages and four (4) en-suite Virunga Terrace rooms including a Family cottage that can accommodate up to five (5) persons.

Meals are also offered at the camp with respect to people’s special needs; whether you are a vegetarian or allergic to something, you will all b catered for.

In a bid to support the livelihoods of t local communities, most of the food stuffs and ingredients are sourced from within the local communities. Guests cannot be assured of access to electricity, but in the evenings, the camp operates a generator for about an hour and a few minutes so that tourists can charge their gadgets.

• Children below 5 years are accommodated for free
• Children between 5 and 12 years pay 50% of the adult’s rate
• Children above the age of 12 are considered to be adults

Nshongi Camp

Nshongi camp is just five (5) minutes away from the Rushaga gate to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. It accommodates its guests in four (4) simple mud-brick bandas which are adjacent to attractive gardens.

Meals in the form of three (3) courses are provided at the camp. The camp has no generator and tourists are advised to travel with fully charged camera batteries, preferably more than one pair.

This Camp just has a few beds to accommodate tourist; early booking is therefore necessary. Nshongi camp also offers a camping ground where travelers can erect their own tents for the night.

Chameleon Hill Lodge

This lodge is strategically located near the Rushaga and Nkuringo trailheads and located on the shores of Lake Mutanda.

It has ten (10) accommodation units in the form of exciting and well-furnished chalets which contain comfortable beds guarded by mosquito nets; a wooden deck from which tourist can enjoy satisfying views of the lake and the dark background of the Virunga volcanoes.

The chalets are in the form of five (5) permanent queen bed rooms and five (5) other twin bed rooms which can be transformed into queen bed rooms.

The lodge has a comfortable lounge area where tourists can meet and read a book or plainly relax. The lodge has two expert chefs (from Uganda and Kenya) who put together the best local and international dishes.

Adding to the expertise in this lodge is a adept massage therapist who will put your body in a perfect state of rest.

These are full board exclusive of drinks offered in the restaurant and all rates are inclusive of Value Added Tax (VAT).

For the money they pay, guests are also free to demand for laundry and shoe cleaning services. The lodge offers a 15% discount starting with guests who spend at least four nights and above. Large group bookings also qualify for discounts.
