Tourists are advised to use 4WD Vehicles to prevent inconveniences. The modern roads from Kabale, Kampala and Ishaha in Queen Elizabeth National Park (QENP) meet at Butogota, and from here tourists can reach the Buhoma gate on a dirt road for about 17km.

Getting There by Air.

Tourists can fly from Entebbe International Airport or the Kajjansi Airfield in Kampala to the modern tarmacked airstrip in Kisoro called Nyakabande for those accessing the park from the south; or to the grass savannah airstrips of Kayonza and Kihiihi for those accessing the park from the North.

Tourists can transfer to arrive at the entrances to the gorilla tracking trailheads using vehicles.
