Although mountain gorillas are the prime highlight of the Bwindi Uganda Safari, the park is not short of other mammal species.
The park’s many ecosystems provide habitats to at least 120 mammalian species which have been counted so far, perhaps this number could increase as more points of this impenetrable forest are reached.
The park is a key primate trekking safari destination with eleven (11) other species of primate including the notorious baboons, black-and-white colobus monkeys and our closest relatives the clever chimps.
Also in the park, lucky tourists have the opportunity to see the side-striped jackal, the rare forest elephants, the African golden cat and the African civet.
