Many tourists are asking themselves whether mountain gorillas have permanent homes but answer is no, they do not have homes – they are just Wanderers.

Mountain Gorillas do not have a home-base, they have a territory and each night they sleep in a different bed that is made of sticks, branches and leaves.

They move a few kilometers each day in their territory, at times they might even move to another country such as from Rwanda to Uganda or the Democratic Republic of Congo, and they do this without passports and visas.

One of the reasons that visitors do Gorilla trekking in Rwanda Volcanoes Park is because they move each day.

Very early in the morning pre-trackers always go out and find a particular gorilla group that tourists will be visiting and send the new location to the Rangers that always lead various tourist groups to their respective gorilla family to be visited on that day.

The mountain gorilla is an interesting mammal and it is a very exciting animal to see. Don’t for get to add gorilla trekking to your Uganda safari/Uganda safari tour as well and experience what people are wondering about.
