3Days Safari Lake Mburo National Park is a wildlife/game viewing 2nights/3 days Uganda Safari to Lake Mburo National Park from Kampala and back.

The impressive savannah landscapes of Lake Mburo National Park are more covered by acacia species and are marked by flat plains and undulating hills supporting counts of grazers including the newly introduced Rothschild Giraffes, Buffaloes, topis, Impala which is only found here in all Uganda’s national parks, Burchell’s Zebra with their highest Ugandan concentration in Mburo, Elands which are found here and Kidepo and Pian Upe among other wildlife. The lake supports Nile crocodiles and Hippos.

The 3 days Uganda safari to Lake Mburo National Park includes a stretch to the Banyankole community which opens you to impressive traditions including cattle keeping practices and banana plantation farming. You have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the entire cultural experience.

3 Days Safari Lake Mburo National Park – Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park. Make a stop at Uganda Equator crossing Kayabwe en route and do an afternoon boat cruise on Lake Mburo upon arrival

After breakfast, embark on the transfer to Lake Mburo National Park 240km about 3 – 4 hours’ drive.

You head to the country’s southwest and make a stop at Uganda Equator crossing Kayabwe for impressive photo shoots and water experiments that justifies the geographical divide between the north and southern hemispheres.

You proceed to Lake Mburo National Park where on arrival; you will undertake a thrilling boat cruise on Lake Mburo.

You have opportunities to encounter the Hippos, Nile crocodiles and water birds like the African fish eagle and African finfoot along the cruise.

The sunset views of the lake are impressive too. Retreat for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Do Morning Game Walking Encounter and Afternoon Banyankole Community T our

After breakfast, embark on a thrilling game walking safari after the sunrise to explore the impressive savannah acacia landscapes with rolling hills marked with protruding  Kopje rocks and ancient Precambrian rocks that have existed in the area for over 500 million years past.

The animals that can be encountered include; Impala antelope which only exist in Lake Mburo NP, Burchell’s Zebra, Rothschild Giraffes, Topis, waterbucks, warthogs, among other wildlife.

Retreat from the 3 – 4 hour activity and embark on the transfer back to the lodge for relaxation and lunch.

In the afternoon, you will visit the Enyemebwa centre to encounter the heritage of the local people including their traditional Ankole long-horned cattle, their impressive arts and crafts, traditional homestead and remarkable dances and performances. Retreat from the encounter and retire for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Do a game drive and transfer back to Kampala

Do an early morning game drive exploring the park for the last time with possible views of various wild game including zebras, Impala, topis, warthogs among others after which you embark on the transfer back to Kampala to mark the end of the safari.
