Day 3: Travel Back To Kigali. Visit King’s Palace & the Museum En route
The final day of your 3 days Rwanda chimpanzee trekking safari in Nyungwe Forest National Park starts with breakfast at 7 am. You then embark on a 6-hour drive back to Kigali.
Pass through rolling hills and beautiful scenery with a stop in the town of Butare, to tour the detailed ethnographic museum for a look at the socio-cultural history of Rwanda. Proceed to Nyanza to explore the reconstruction of a traditional king’s palace and the thatch homes that were the traditional seat of Rwanda’s kingdom.
Learn about the evolution of farming and building through the centuries and meet the long-horned cows, known as Inyambo. They are beautiful to look at, and you will learn about their royal heritage and how they are used in many important traditional ceremonies.
